Which month is best to view the Canola in York?
It is a such a beautiful sight to see the canola in fields around York and it’s a perfect time to plan a cosy winter get away in the Wheatbelt.
Canola season varies slightly from year to year so it’s best to check in with the York tourist bureau however generally the canola is beautiful in August and sometimes early September.
As always please only take photos from the roadside, park safely and respect our farmers’ private property. You can take beautiful photos and still keep our farmers happy.
….. and we have an update!
We’re always learning about new cool things to do in York. Some from our guests! So thanks Tara for the heads about the following.
Peteet Park is a magical spot for sunflower fields, canola fields, petite animals (including our favourite footy striped cows!) and farm fresh products. Please check their instagram page for up to date opening times. Please note there is a small fee charged and they only accept cash.
And all only 20 minutes from Sunny Hill!
