A little taste of your experience

If you like the idea of relaxing in to a heritage home that has evolved since 1870, with all its quirks and idiosyncrasies and country comfort, then our country cottage will be just right.

Following is a taste of what you’ll experience during your stay.

But be warned, if high tech perfection and minimalist designer spaces are your thing, then Sunny Hill is probably not your cup of tea.

Bedroom 1

A beautifully appointed room with a luxurious King bed. You’ll find yourself surrounded by the colours of the wheatbelt highlighted by the original ceramic light fitting by WA’s own Carver Lights.

This bedroom has its own ensuite.

Bedroom 3

This room offers two king single bunk beds - perfect for 4 very happy children or teenagers.

Comfy and fun for sleep overs.

Bedroom 2

What’s in a name? This room is hardly second best. Soft earthy salmon gum pinks and earthy Australian greens cocoon you in your luxury Queen bed.

Make sure you check out the original plasterboard fireplace - it’s pretty special.

Lounge

Our pot belly and original stone wall steal the show in this room. Relax in front of the fire with friends, read your book or just while away your time any old how.

We adore this room which catches the northern sunlight.

Kitchen

Sunny Hill’s traditional Australian country kitchen is full of charm. With an original working wood oven (and an electric one too), we think you’ll love this cosy kitchen.

There’s everything you need to cook up a storm or to just hang and enjoy a beautiful coffee or tea.

Parlour

Our parlour overlooks the garden from its beautiful picture window. It is perfect for a long chat, a book, games or cocktail hour listening to your favourite tunes.

The Garden

We love our garden and all it has to offer - and we’re pretty sure you’ll love it too.

Go exploring, play some outdoor games and just hang about.

Enjoy our winter fire pit - so much fun for a cold winter’s evening.

The views from here are one of the reasons Sunny Hill is so, so special.

Outdoor Garden Settings

Sunny Hill is all about enjoying the outdoors just as much as what’s inside. We have a beautiful alfresco dining table to hang around, comfy wicker lounges to dream the day away in and an antique seagrass lounge to relax in under our Jacaranda on our verandah nook.
