The York Cup stands as a testament to the enduring spirit of country racing. Established in 1843, York Racecourse is one of Australia's oldest provincial racecourses, offering a unique blend of history and excitement in our picturesque town of York.

A Legacy of Racing Excellence

The York Cup itself is a highlight of the racing calendar, attracting top-tier horses, trainers, and jockeys from across the region. Run over a distance of 1,920 meters, this handicap race boasts a prize pool of $70,000, making it a significant event in Western Australia's racing scene.

Aside from the horse racing, there’ll be live music and entertainment for the whole family, the much coveted fashion on the fields prize, and food and drinks. Marquees and catering can be booked but they usually sell out quickly.
